Pearl of the Army (1916)

This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1916 for Pearl of the Army starring Pearl White, Floyd Buckley, William T. Carleton, Marie Wayne, Theodore Friebus, and Joe Cuny.  Edward Jose directed silent World War I spy serial.  Similar to television programs today, the film was released weekly in 15 parts starting on December 3, 1916.  This poster advertises the third episode which was released in the United States on December 17, 1916.

The poster measures 28” x 41” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display.  Prior to restoration, the poster was in good to very good condition with paper loss on from the bottom border and other parts of the white edge. There were also some surface creases and smudges.  The poster is now in very good to excellent, restored condition.
