This is an original one-sheet movie poster from the 1970s for Casablanca starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains, Conrad Veidt, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre and Paul Henreid. Michael Curtiz directed the classic film.
The poster was printed in the 1970s to promote a screening of Casablanca at a Humphrey Bogart film festival. The festival organizers used the artwork from a 1949 theatrical re-release of the film for this poster however it was definitely printed in the 1970s.
The poster measures 27"x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to linen-backing with minimal wear from handling. Much of the fold wear that appears on this poster is actually from the 1949 poster used to create this one-sheet. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying and not a stock image). The black squares around the edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in the 1970s to promote a film festival release of Casablanca, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
